I got this book at our gift exchange at our bookclub. We all grabbed a book from our shelves, wrapped it, and had a free gift!!
I received "A Rare and Curious Gift" by Pauline Holdstock. It is NOT my type of read........that award belongs to Dean Koontz.
But, since I am expanding my horizons on the book front, I was excited to get this. I've never read anything like this. I'm only a few chapters in, but I really like it.
So far it's about a girl who has odd skin. It is smooth, but both black and white, like a brindle dog. There are artists........gross men.......rich people........and that's as far as I've gotten! It takes place during the Italian Renaissance.
Thanks bookclub!!

Hi Stephanie - Just in case your email blocks me = you were a winner in my Flirting with Forty giveaway.
What an interesting sounding book! I added it to my Art History Reading Challenge as a possibility. Thanks!
